Election day is November 3rd.  That’s only 5 days away!  Make sure you set time aside to get to your polls on Tuesday.  Below, you will find some helpful information on the election, how to find your polling stations, and tips on how to get to them, too!

1.) Do your research, especially on the Kentucky gubernatorial candidates.  Again, early childhood education is front and center in this election.  Think about who is most likely to to help  families and children thrive in Kentucky. Check out each candidates’ website below.

Jack Conway

Matt Bevin

Drew Curtis

You can also check out sample ballots for your county here to see what else is up on the ticket.

2.) Find your election poll location here.

3.) Polls are open from 6am-6pm. Even if you’re in line at 6pm, you can still vote.

4.) If you’re unable to make it to the polls on Tuesday, November 3rd, you can send in an absentee ballot if you are a registered voter.  Check out the steps in getting one sent in here. Your absentee ballot must be sent in early so it is received by 6pm on November 3rd.

5.)If you need a ride to your polling station, ask a friend/family or check the bus schedule.  You can also try new car services called Uber or Lyft, which give you your first ride free.  All you have to do is download the app on your smartphone. More information for Uber is here and for Lyft is here.
